Our Story

Moving Forward specializes in Rehab, Performance and Recovery. Moving Forward is for everyone! Muscles can be injured/fatigued/stressed due to overuse or inactivity from sedentary jobs, post surgery/rehab , weekend warrior activity, starting a new workout routine, athletic/endurance sports or frequent travel. Moving Forward specializes in the following: Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART and other modalities. Muscle Recovery and Performance Modalities- Active Release Therapy- ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique. ART treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Most issues can be remedied in 1-3 sessions. ART breaks-up adhesions that can limit Range of motion, decrease muscle circulation. SFMA- The Selective Functional Movement Assessment is the movement based diagnostic system, designed to clinically assess 7 fundamental movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain. The assessment provides an efficient method to systematically find the cause of symptoms, not just the source, by logically breaking down dysfunctional patterns and diagnosing their root cause as either a mobility problem or a stability/motor control problem. Corrective Exercise Training remedies dysfunctional patterns. Neuro Pain & Reset- Neuropathic pain syndromes can be caused by disorders affecting the brain or spinal cord (central nervous system) and peripheral nervous system. When the sensory system is impacted by injury or disease, the nerves within that system cannot work properly to transmit sensation to the brain. Reset Therapy consists of sensory and motor assessments to find interrupted communication withing the body. A Therapy plan is designed based on your specific neuro dysfunction. Most of the work is done at home. TPI Certified-Biomechanics/Fitness Assess clients to correct areas that affect head speed, bolster driving distance, and help reduce the chance of lower-back injuries. Implement integrated training approaches to lower scores and prevent golf-related injuries Massage Therapy- The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle tension and spasms, and aid in muscle recovery and range of motion. MMMP- Medical Massage is massage therapy is performed following the directives of a medical professional. Corrective Exercise Training- Assist all clients experiencing musculoskeletal impairments, muscle imbalances or rehabilitation concerns. FMS- FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. Basketball Corrective Exercise Strategies - Systematic assessment and advanced corrective exercise strategy to correct common extremity dysfunctions seen in basketball.
