I did not start Hope Valley Care as a business. I started it because of a broken heart.
When my mom was battling cancer, my husband and I had the honor of taking care of her every single day until she passed away. Those moments were some of the hardest and most meaningful times of my life. When she was gone, it felt like a huge hole was left in my heart.
For a long time, I could not understand why that emptiness felt so deep. Then I realized something. That space in my heart was filled with all the love I still wanted to give my mom but no longer could.
Instead of letting that love disappear, I chose to share it. That is how Hope Valley Care was created.
Every resident we care for receives the love, respect, patience, dignity, and compassion that I would have continued giving to my mom if she were still here. Through caring for others, a small part of my heart continues to heal.
Mama, you are still the light that guides everything we do. Your love lives on in every act of kindness we give.
I lost my mom, but I found my purpose.
