Make sure in SC you’re vetting your wholesalers. We are seeing more and more that are either not permitted at all or they are selling office use stock when technically it’s not even legal at the federal level. Stay vigilant!

It’s simple but it not done at almost every site we visit. Please remember to label your multi dose vials with the date opened, BUD and initials. Simple things prevent unnecessary scrutiny and keep regulatory off your back.

In SC, if you store and/or administer any prescription drugs (yes an EpiPen counts) at your facility, chances are you need a non-dispensing permit. And if you’re already storing meds because you have a medical director, that doesn’t clear you. The only exception is facilities 100% practitioner owned and even then the practitioner must be acting in their scope of practice for it to count. Meaning an ear doctor or eye doctor can’t own a med spa and it be considered exempt from permitting.
