Today I am thankful for the opportunity to see my past mistakes for what they truly are. Mistakes are not failures. Mistakes are not a reason to have a pity party and devalue myself nor are they a reason to beat myself up. So what are mistakes? They are a single step towards growth, learning and success. Yes, SUCCESS. No one has EVER achieved success without making mistakes, learning from them, and moving forward. Edison is said to have failed over 1000 times before 1 successful light bulb. No child has ever walked without falling. The point is that NO ONE living or dead has accomplished ANYTHING without making mistakes. Mistakes ARE a growth opportunity. Mistakes are a learning experience. The road to success is paved with the cobblestones of failure and mistakes. Be thankful for them, learn from them, use them as fuel, and rejoice that you have the opportunity of mistakes for when you stop making mistakes....you are dead.

Every morning when we wake up we make a choice consciously or unconsciously. We can choose to remain caught up in our past, dwell on our mistakes, traumas or we can choose today as the first day in our future. If we choose to let go of the past (which we have no control over nor can we change it by rerunning the video in our minds) and focus on today as a new opportunity we can break the old chains that bound us. We now, finally, choose the person we want to be by focusing ONLY on our new me. Put all of our energy into living today as our new selves. It will be uncomfortable at first but gradually we grow into it. Pick each morning as a new day, new opportunity, and new life and start by being thankful you even woke up.

Mission Statement: To serve those suffering from the diseases of addiction and mental health disorders with compassion, empathy, transparency and with a non-judgmental attitude. My mission is not to fix, but to walk along side my clients as an equal meeting them where they are, at their pace and supporting their recovery through counseling, skills training, and being flexible to whatever approaches best serve my clients.

We are here to serve those in need, build their self-efficacy, and help them in any way we can. We are not here to enable, but to empower. We work internationally providing assistance, counseling, and humanitarian aid to the poor, homeless and stateless people throughout Malaysia. We are dedicated to giving them a voice by working with and through whatever channels are available.
