I have been away from podcasting for about a year and a half. Many things happened in life I and my fam needed to heal from. Also I figured out I wanted to do it differently than I did before with S*x Talk.
What I noticed while I was doing my dissertation research again and again is how often cis-women and other assigned female at birth (AFAB) identities experiences were completely missing from scientific literature. I noticed there was an entirely missing body of research about ADHD, autism, and other learning differences and how AFAB people experience them. So I decided I needed to launch something entirely different. I decided I wanted to interview therapists, psychologists, OBGYNs, other medical professionals doing clinical work and research specifically on the AFAB population. Introducing TwoX Labs, a place where you as a clinician can get the latest information about what AFAB people need, how to create good clinical practice...and get some CEUs for it :) What I will be launching with the show is a non-profit research lab so that I an other clinicians can do research on how to help support assigned female at birth people. I have some lovely partners in this big ole' dream Bethany Suppes and Danielle Kramer that I am excited to jump off this big entrepreneurial cliff with.
