🌟 Exciting Announcement: AMCC is Taking Flight! 🌟
Friends, we're thrilled to announce that Alliance of Medically Complex Children (AMCC) has officially launched! We've secured our articles of incorporation and are building our foundation to serve families of medically complex children across our community.

Where We Are Now:
Our legal foundation is established ✅

Website development is underway and launching soon 🔜

Awaiting our official 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS

Once our nonprofit status is officially recognized, we'll be able to accept tax-deductible donations and contributions to further our mission. But we don't need to wait to start building our community!

We Need YOU!
This is more than just another organization - it's a movement to transform how we support families with medically complex children. We're actively seeking:

To every parent, caregiver, professional, and advocate drawn to this page:
Whether you’re just receiving a diagnosis for your newborn, suddenly navigating life after an accident, or years into the journey of caring for a medically complex child-you belong here.

AMCC is a brand new 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded by a parent who’s lived this journey and knows the heartbreak, hope, and uncertainty you face. We exist because families like ours need a bridge between hospital and home care-a place where you can find life-saving training, equipment, advocacy, and community, no matter where you are on this path.

But to truly build this bridge, we need help from every angle.
We need:

√Parents who have walked this road and can mentor others.

•New parents and caregivers ready to learn, ask questions, and share what they need most.

√Medical, legal, and mental health professionals willing to lend their expertise.

•Volunteers, donors, and community partners who believe in keeping families together.

Right now, AMCC is run by a passionate team of parents and professionals. As we grow and secure funding, our dream is to build a team that includes W2 payroll staff, expand our board, and create sustainable programs for families across the state-and, one day, the nation.

Currently, we serve families in Florida but are happy to consult with families out of state as we grow. Every story, every voice, every bit of support helps us move closer to a world where no medically complex child or family is left without guidance, resources, or hope.

•Parent training workshops (central line care, TPN, G-tube, ventilator management, and more)

•Medical supply exchange and donation program

•Hospital-to-hospital transfer assistance

•Crisis intervention and 24/7 support

•Mental health counseling with licensed professionals

•Legal advocacy for family preservation

•Help navigating Medicaid, SSDI, SSI, and more

Welcome to the Alliance for Medically Complex Children (AMCC)! ✨
Dear parents and caregivers of medically complex children,

We see you. We understand the sleepless nights, the countless medical appointments, the complex care routines, and the overwhelming feeling of navigating systems that weren't designed for our children's unique needs. We know what it's like to advocate fiercely for your child when it feels like no one is listening.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Spring Hill, Florida, AMCC was founded by Rachael McDonnell, a mother who lived this journey with her daughter Saleena. After experiencing firsthand the dangerous gaps between hospital and home care-and fighting against wrongful removals when her advocacy was misinterpreted-Rachael created the organization she wished had existed for her family.

Whether you've just received a diagnosis like gastroschisis for your newborn, your child has suddenly become medically complex following an accident, or you've been managing complex medical needs for years-we are here for you at every stage of this journey.

We are a nonprofit led by parents, medical professionals, mental health experts, and legal advocates who understand the complex challenges you face because we've been there too. Every donation we receive, every grant we secure, and every volunteer hour gifted to us goes directly toward supporting families like yours. Our comprehensive services include:

--Parent training workshops where you can learn life-saving skills like central line care, TPN administration, and G-tube management

--A medical supply exchange program to help you access essential equipment

--Hospital-to-hospital transfer assistance to keep your child closer to home

--Help navigating Medicaid, SSDI, and other financial assistance programs

--24/7 crisis support when you're facing difficult situations with hospitals or agencies

--Legal advocacy to protect your parental rights and ensure your voice is heard
