Calendula salve for minor cuts, burns, rashes, sore muscles, bug bites, inflamed skin, minor infections from new piercings, diaper rash, sage for children and elders alike.

Ingredients:
Calendula flowers
Sweet almond oil
Beeswax

Let’s talk about calendula. 🌼
Calendula (calendula officinalis) has multiple medicinal benefits. It’s my favourite herb to work with because it is so versatile and gentle for babies and elders alike, while still being immensely effective at treating things like, for example, my piercings aren’t completely healed yet and some are a bit bruised or swollen, so I apply a little of this calendula salve I made to help moisturise them while treating the inflammation, as this herb is anti inflammatory, anti oxidant, anti all the bad things. I went ahead and started using it for moisturising my face as well as my piercings, as it reduces the inflammation of blemishes and redness as well. It’s so gentle that I have used it in the past for my baby’s diaper rash. It can also be compressed as a poultice for minor wounds, cuts, bug bites, or bruises. 10/10 for me.
Disclaimer for the Facebook trolls: I am not a doctor, but an herbalist. I am in no way using this in place of doctor recommended medication. Obviously if the piercings don’t heal properly I will either take them out or use something else. Plants as medicine do not work for everyone. There is no risk for this particular herb, but it has poisonous lookalikes. Don’t take my word for it and do your research before medicating. 🌿

Hello kind people of the internet! My name is Traci, and I am an herbalist, healer, witch and light worker. I incorporate my healing light into the products I make. I make beautiful spell jars with herbs, flowers and crystals, all with the pure intent to heal. I also make herbal remedies such as salves, infused oils, and syrups. I added some photos of some of my work to get a better understanding of the things I craft. Southern Sweet Spells is dead, but Moon and Flame has risen in its place. I also can do custom orders.
