We’re excited to welcome Dr. Niki Carayannopoulos, Orthopedic Trauma & Reconstructive Surgeon, to the Minivasive Pain & Orthopedics team!
✨ Get to know Dr. Carayannopoulos:
❓ What do you find most rewarding about your job?
➡️ Restoring function and helping patients return to full, active lives. She loves that orthopedics often allows her to truly “cure” a condition and give patients their independence back.
❓ What inspired your career in medicine?
➡️ She’s wanted to be a doctor since 4th grade and felt called to serve others. She originally planned to be a family physician—but the moment she experienced orthopedic surgery in medical school (and met her mentor), everything changed.
❓ Hobbies?
➡️ Spending time with her husband and children, watching her kids play sports, reading, and enjoying the peace of the outdoors.
❓ Favorite food?
➡️ A cookie dough Blizzard with extra cookie dough 🍪—and for “real food,” King crab legs or sashimi.
❓ Where did you grow up?
➡️ Cook County, Chicago. Her parents immigrated from Greece, and moving to Texas for her father’s first job was one of her happiest memories.
❓ Favorite place to visit?
➡️ Zakynthos, Greece—where her parents were raised and her son was baptized. She calls it one of the most beautiful, peaceful places on earth.
We’re honored to have Dr. Carayannopoulos on our team, bringing exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication to every patient she serves. 💙
