Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger to save others. It's been 24 years, but the pain, the bravery, and the unity of that day still echo in our hearts.

To the first responders, the victims, the survivors, and every person impacted by 9/11 — we honor your courage, your sacrifice, and your resilience.

🎨✨ Glow Up, Mandala Style! ✨🎨 Who says art has to stay on the page? At our assisted living community, residents are lighting up their creativity—literally—with illuminated mandalas!
🌀 First, they color or design beautiful, intricate mandala patterns. 💡 Then comes the magic: we back their masterpieces with translucent paper and place them in front of soft LED lights or windows. 🌈 The result? A glowing burst of color that turns every hallway into a radiant gallery!
Why we love this craft: 🌟 Visually stunning—like stained glass, but cozier 👐 Totally accessible—templates or freestyle, everyone shines 🧘‍♀️ Calming & sensory-rich—color, light, and joy in every step 🤝 Builds community—shared creativity that sparks conversation

What a beautiful day for a parade! 🇺🇸 Our wonderful residents from Northwood Assisted Living had an absolute blast enjoying the Memorial Day parade in downtown Springfield. It was so heartwarming to see their smiles and hear their cheers as they honored those who served. A truly memorable day!

WOW—What an Egg-stravaganza!

We are absolutely blown away by the turnout at our Northwood Easter Egg Hunt! While 64 kids officially signed up to hunt over 3,000 eggs… it’s safe to say well over 64 showed up! Whole families came to join the fun, and it turned into a beautiful, joy-filled, multi-generational day of community.

Guests enjoyed hot dogs served up by our amazing administrators from both ALF and SNF, refreshing snow cones and exciting prizes provided by Day City Hospice, and fresh-popped popcorn manned by the one and only Haily from Activities—who popped with pride all afternoon long!

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped make this event such a heartwarming success. We’re so grateful for our Northwood family and local partners who continue to make moments like these possible.
