Karen lost her husband six years ago. So, when she heard the word cancer, one thought went through her mind:

Karen Barrand, one of Jordan Valley Community Health Center’s Director of Operations, discovered she had breast cancer last year during Breast Cancer Awareness month. In a month where she usually remembers her mother, who died from breast cancer, Karen stood firm in the belief that her story would be different.

This year, she’s celebrating victory over her cancer diagnosis. 💗 Choose life this month, get screened for breast cancer.
