I am surrounded by so many wonderful people! Thank you to my directors for making this event possible, to my debate team for coming to support me, to my princess Rae for always making me smile, and to my family for always loving and supporting me. I had so much fun emceeing for the Miss Land of Lincoln, Miss Capital City trivia night fundraiser!

Tonight I was on the other side of the interview table! I loved getting to judge the Miss Waverly Pageant this evening.

A few tips from the judges seat...
1. Be yourself! Your uniqueness makes you memorable.
2. Have fun and be confident! It's so much fun to interview a girl who takes charge of the room.
3. Enjoy yourself! We only get to crown one girl.. And it is hard. It's easier knowing you feel like you walked away with more confidence with or without the crown.

Thank you, everyone, for your support and well wishes. 💜 I interviewed this morning with our amazing panel of judges, and loved every minute of it! I will be on stage tonight competing in swimsuit and on-stage question.

Tomorrow will be my first day competing on stage at Miss Illinois!! This fabulous group of ladies and I will be competing in swimsuit... And of course channeling our inner Victoria's Secret Angels. 😉

WOW. I can't believe that I check in for my week at Miss Illinois tomorrow morning. An enormous thank you to everyone who has helped me prepare for this week. I know it will be filled with memories I will never forget, and friendships I will cherish always. Make sure to follow this page to keep updated on my week. Today I visited the elementary school to talk to a classroom about my platform- Hands to Serve;Hearts to Love. ❤️ I talked to the kids about what service is and why it is important. At such a young age it really came down to this, "Raise your hand if you like to smile. Now leave your hand up if you like to make other people smile." Every single student had their hand up... At any age that's the only reason you need to get out and serve your community! Each student planted flowers in a pot and signed their names, then I delivered the flowers to residents of the nursing home. This group of children took such pride in their work and brought such great joy to the recipients of the flowers. For many of these students, I gave them their first opportunity to engage in service. I feel so honored and so very blessed to share my love of service with our youth.

Spring Kick off was this weekend, which means Miss Illinois is only a month away!! I loved meeting my entire class of pageant sisters, learning opening number choreography, and hearing from the lovely Miss Illinois Crystal Davis. 😄 Miss Illinois Scholarship Organization, Inc.

We are the land of the free, because of the brave. 🇺🇸 Tonight, I had the privilege and honor of welcoming veterans home from an honor flight to Washington DC. We are so blessed to have brave men and women fight for our freedom, and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of something that recognizes their devotion and sacrifice to our country.
Also, I got to see Governor Rauner and his wonderful wife again this evening. Being a titleholder in the Miss America Organization is such a privilege.

Today I volunteered at the Little Miracles 5k/10k for CMN hospitals, and then visited the women's expo. I always love seeing miracle children like these who are here today because of the life saving care of a CMN hospital. Every day spent serving is a good day! 😄
