Why start this community page? Well Annie Marie and I,Christine, are both local artisans and have built a friendship over time attending the same local event venues. As this friendship has deepened so has a respect for one another’s drive, entrepreneurial spirit and passion that is brought to our respective crafts! We believe that the best way for artisans to succeed is to join in community with other artisans. And that is how ARTisan, HeART in the City was formed. We plan to bring regular, quality event venues showcasing talented and passionate artisans. And of course, you will be able to learn about us and all the wonderful artisans in our neck of the woods. Bella’s Soap Box
From Bubbles to Beauty! Soaps, Lotions & Potions, Artisan products made in small batches with loving natural ingredients. With Love, from our family to yours. It all started with a simple soap making class! I fell in love with the process and the creative juices started flowing. It’s important to me to use quality skin safe ingredients. Ingredients that not only can you pronounce, but that play a part in our overall wellbeing. From touch, to sight, and smell, it must be amazing on all levels. My inspiration for a new scent or design comes from small memorable moments such as; a beautiful cup of coffee with a layer of crema and floating cardamom seeds or bright colorful sunflowers against the backdrop of fir trees. blue skies and fluffy white clouds. I have a background as a chef and often feel a product isn’t done until I garnish it! And no, you can’t eat the soap! Christine
Creative Sustainables
After 15 years of a social service and mental health career, I was drawn to engaging in activities that soothed my soul. Having engaged in painting and photography for many years as my “recharge” time, I took the leap, retired from punching a clock and began creating full time! It brings me joy, not just in the creation of these items but also in each piece of art delighting someone else.

Dear Friends,
I am organizing an event for children at Briggs Middle School. The last 2 days before winter break, kids will be able to come to the event and pick out a gift for free for a loved one. This is an opportunity to help kids share in the joy of giving to others this holiday season. If you would like to contribute pieces of your work, wrapping supplies (we will be gift wrapping items after the kids have selected them,) or even funds to support this event, please let me know. All items are tax deductible. I’ll be giving you a hand written receipt that I have accepted them on behalf of the school. Once I take your items and receipt in, the school will mail you a letter for your donation that you can use on your taxes. I am happy to come and pick up any items from you in the local area (Springfield, Eugene, Veneta, Junction City.) Below are some pics of donations from JRUTA Designs and Creative Sustainables. Lily Pads on Driftwood with salamander dragonfly and fish. This creation has two yellow LED lights under two of the pads powered by a 9 volt battery. Driftwood from the coast of OR, hand forged pads, fish and salamander from mild steel, wings of dragonfly from hand cut and faceted dalle de verre glass from West Virginia. Reference # 36
