The feasting holidays are over for now, atleast for this family. However with several birthdays over the next few months the planning for a large meal that includes Everyone's taste buds is still on the table so to speak- haha. We are blessed that my husband's ags is not fume sensitive, allowing us to make regular meals for our kids when the time allows and keeping my husband on a safe diet at the same time. This helps with the cost of food of course but I know this is Not the case for all who deal with ags. There Is a time cost no matter the situation I've found. My heart goes put to those who have more severe restrictions to their diet needs for sure. One thing to try is downloading the FIG app, I've read alot of comments on it good and bad but a tool is a tool ok? It can help with finding the safe things to eat, instead of having to stand in the grocery aisle and stare at packages and think, wait I can't remember alllll the ingredients that shouldn't be in this product. I can't even tell you how many times that's happened to us- and I'm sure many many other people. Let this be a reminder to be kinder to ourselves, and more patient with others in the grocery aisle seemingly taking their time. I can promise you that shopping for food has been one of the most irritating times of my day most days. But this ags situation has shown light not just on others who may be dealing with ags but a host of other dietary issues. This is My first time to be in that position making the decisions and hoping to God I'm doing it right. Let's go into this new year with vigor, acceptance, and the strength to thrive within the ags reality. You can do this, you are an overcomer, you are not alone in this fight. God bless and happy New Year!
