Screens can be great for relaxing and learning. It’s concerning when screens are used in place of friends, shared activities, life experiences, and - especially - to assist with emotional regulation.

We cannot expect children to engage with the world when we remove all opportunities and put a screen in their face.

The next time you give your child an iPad ask yourself, is this the best use of my child’s time OR the easiest thing I can do right now.
