Try a paper chain, puzzle pieces, or even a jar of marbles to help your child see the countdown to big days—whether it’s a holiday, family visit, or back-to-school day.

Visual supports are another great way to add structure and predictability to the holiday season for your child! By using an advent calendar or a paper chain with events written onto the links, you’re creating a holiday tradition and a sense of security at the same time. 💫

For many children with autism, visual supports make routines clearer, transitions smoother, and upcoming changes less overwhelming. They turn abstract concepts like “soon” or “a few more days” into something your child can see and understand.

What an amazing idea and opportunity!

Celebrate the magic of the season with a Sensory Santa photo session designed for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Each 15-minute session with a professional photographer offers a calm, welcoming environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities to meet Santa, enjoy the experience at their own pace, and receive beautiful digital photos to treasure for years to come. Photos will be sent via a digital link about a week after the event.

Dates: Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. both days
