Payton Ann-Marie Pridemore is a very beautiful brown eyed, brown haired, very special 3 year old little girl who has a huge personality and even bigger smile that completely warms a person’s heart and can’t help but wrap a person around her world when you meet her. She can’t speak the way most children do at her age; and she may not be able to communicate the way most children her age do; but Payt
on’s mommy (Jennifer) understands her. Payton makes little noises, grunts and faces that tell her what she wants. The bond that they have is clear not only to those close to them, but also to those who happen by. Payton has been diagnosed with Intractable Epilepsy, Trisomy 13, severe global developmental delay of unknown etiology, Osteoporosis, possible Mitochondrial disorder and multiple other medical problems including Gastro esophageal reflux and feeding problems. She is non-verbal and is not mobile with extremely low muscle tone. She is fed by g-tube, because she is unable to have anything orally. She has oxygen to assist her breathing of nights and during the day as needed. Payton is on an oximeter monitor; which monitors her pulse rate and oxygen saturation. Payton is totally dependent on her caregiver and requires care around the clock. Her mommy is with her 99% of the time. The doctors are trying to get more nursing hours to help Mom. Payton is very fragile. It takes two when lifting her anymore. She has very low bone mass. This is causing Payton to have frequent fractures.
