The things I think aboutâŠ
Closets. Closets can be a physical analogy for the mind.
Often times they are disorganized, cluttered and messy.
We can close the door and keep things like (too many) shoes, bad habits, great boxes, painful memories and secrets locked away for yearsâŠwhere no one can see them.
But a closet can only hold so much âstuffâ and one day youâll begin to open the door ever so cautiously trying to retrieve or express a particular item or emotion and who knows what might happen?
Maybe something (or someone) gets broken, rediscovered, given purpose or finally let go⊠and discarded at last.
When this happens your closet may seem a little less dark with a little more space for âlighterâ things that have earned a place on the top shelf. Or you get a new pair of boots with durable soles to blaze a different pathâŠ
Who knows? I suppose that depends on what you happen to have in your closet and if youâre willing to open the door and begin the process of purging and (finally) healing.
