Hi Again Everyone,

Here is a terrific and factual article about honey that ansers some common questions/assumptions and squashes some common myths as well. It’s from BJC Healthcare and we don’t get anything for sharing it. I just thought that you might enjoy it! I did and I’m a beekeeper!

We are very thankful for the wonderful hot weather Friday evening and yesterday(Sunday). We did the housecleaning at our new Wentzville bee yard. We are looking for another one now in St. Peters. Please let us know if you have one in mind for 5-10 hives or nucs. Thank you! Dwight 314-496-7721

Seems as if swarm season is upon us! Fun times indeed!

Please know that as the saying goes, if you ask 20 beekeepers a question you will get at least 21 different answers!

Also, please remember that my ideas and suggestions are how I would do something, it’s NOT how you have to do something. There are multiple ways to take care of bees and a lot of them take different routes, but in the end the bottom line is a lot of them are different and they WORK! 😀

My ideas and suggestions are just that, how I would do something.

HAPPY MONDAY!

We are moving our Wright City bee yard in April to have it closer and seek a new location for about 20 hives! We are looking for a location in either St. Peters, St. Charles or O’Fallon, MO.
Requirements are:
1) Relatively flat, 2) Mowed or dirt or cement, 3) Full sun exposure all day, 4) No smaller than 1/4 to 1/2 acre, 5) We need to be able to drive our trailer right up to the hives, 6) We typically come inspect the hives every 10 days March-Nov and once a month Dec-Feb. 7) We would prefer not located near agricultural/farming land for fear of possible crop over spray. We keep our hives tidy. Just stacks of white boxes, 4 to a pallet.
For compensation we are delighted to furnish you with 10 lbs of our honey annually.
For consideration please contact me directly- 314-496-7721. If necessary please leave a voicemail. Thank you! -Dwight Stagg

Welcome to early January. So far it’s been a mild winter. Troy Stagg and I made our 10 lb. candy boards yesterday and I put them on the hives today amid some chilly drizzle. All hives are looking good and we saw buzzing clusters in each. So far so good.

Awww, We are so grateful to be able to help our parish, All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, MO! 😀

THANK YOU ST PETERS DOMINO’S PIZZA!

We make and sell candy boards that help beekeepers give their hives supplemental food during the winter. We enjoyed some pizza last night for dinner and since I have a customer coming to get their candy boards this morning, I asked Domino’s last night if they would give / sell me a couple large boxes to use as packaging. They said yes and gave them to me free of charge!

Very nice!!!
