I'm often reminded of how much I need a workout after I get started on days where I just don't want to. The hard part isn't the working out, the hard part is getting past that little voice in the back of your head saying it's ok, you don't need to workout today, you'll be fine.
When that voice creeps in, and sometimes it happens often, you just have to fight through it. Complain all you want, but do it while getting dressed. Moan and whine loudly, but keep it to when you're lacing up your shows.
When you get there, the gym, garage, park or wherever it is you choose to perform your workout, the hard part is done. Giddy up and get to it.
Cheers

Posture matters and could be the cause of health problems many of us face on a daily basis. Have a look at what simple cell use is doing to your spine when sending a text. Better yet, picture your child or loved one. This is a perfect example of what to do (on the right) and what not to do (on the left).
If you’re suffering from headaches, neck pain or back pain it’s probably time to get to your chiropractor. Don’t wait until you have to make a change, being proactive will save you in the long run.

Simple water facts regarding pain:

Joint and muscles - Water is in maintaining joint health and lubrication. Staying hydrated can help reduce joint pain and stiffness as it plays a critical role in the smooth movement of joints and the proper functioning of cartilage.

Dehydration and pain sensitivity - Some studies suggest that dehydration may increase pain sensitivity. When the body lacks adequate water, it may lead to increased perception of pain in certain individuals.

Recovery from exercise-related pain - Drinking water after physical activity is crucial for rehydration and can help reduce muscle soreness and pain after a workout.

Bottom line...stay hydrated friends!

In case you were wondering...treat your body appropriately.

Fantastic explanation given by Keith Wassung:

An analogy that I have often use that relates to this is to describe one of the old castles that were used hundreds of years ago (can reference Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) and then ask:

"What part of the castle is used for the defense of the castle and or the people living inside of the castle"?

Answer: Every single piece of it-there is literally no part of the castle that is not used for the defense of the castle, even if its just a secondary or adjunct purpose. Everything down the stairs, the windows, etc, are designed for maximum defense.

“Dr Jim, I understand that I seem to function and feel better when I get adjusted. Can you tell me briefly why that is?”
Fantastic question today and the image below is the exact reason why. The spine needs to be properly taken care of for the nervous system to do its job. That’s why everyone needs to be adjusted.
