We are proud to share that Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers and Amanda Luckett Murphy Hopewell Center have officially merged under the Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers name!

This merger allows us to expand our ability to provide primary care and behavioral health services to even more members of our community. With this collaboration, we’re able to bring enhanced care to those who need it most.

We’re proud to announce that Amanda Luckett Murphy Hopewell Center is now certified as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Organization! Following a comprehensive survey, we’re in full compliance with all standards and accredited by CARF. This certification covers programs like Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Supported Recovery, and Access Crisis Intervention. Effective April 1, 2024 - March 31, 2027!

We’re proud to highlight Mr. Frank Pate, a shining example of what dedication and support can achieve! Since joining the Healthcare Home (HCH) program in 2017, Mr. Pate has taken control of his health with the incredible support of Nurse Care Management (NCM).
Once battling hypertension, type 2 diabetes, COPD, and obesity, Frank’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. With the help of his primary care team and nurse care manager, his A1c is now an impressive 4.9%, his blood pressure is stable, and he no longer needs continuous oxygen—an achievement he’s sustained since 2021! 🌬️💪
By following a low-fat, low-salt diet and losing over 60 pounds, Frank feels healthier and more energized. His words say it best: “I cut my salt and sugar... and stopped needing oxygen when I lost the weight. I feel so much better.”
HCH nurse care managers are committed to helping each client reach their personal health goals, and Frank’s journey is proof that with the right support, a better quality of life is within reach!
