Every Friday we pause for intentional self love by buying ourselves flowers and celebrating our wins.

This week I’m honoring:
💪🏾 Gracefully bowing out of the 200lb+ club. The slow cook is still cooking and I’m proud of the discipline it’s taken to get here.
📚 Watching Faith, Love & Narcissism expand into the hands of readers across the US and now the UK.

I share my wins not just to celebrate, but to remind you that your progress matters too. 🌸

So today, grab your flowers, honor your growth (big or small), and celebrate the parts of yourself that are still blooming. 🥹✨

✨ Wellness Wednesday ✨

This week I had my mammogram. 🩷 For me, preventive care is part of my wellness journey but so is being informed.

Here’s the thing: mammograms save lives, but they aren’t perfect. There are pros, cons, and even alternatives that a lot of us don’t talk about. And that’s why I wanted to share my experience this week, not to scare anyone, but to remind us that wellness is about knowing both sides and making the choice that feels right for YOU.

Your health is personal. Your journey is your own. 💫
So ask questions. Do your research. Talk to your doctor. And above all — trust your body and your voice.

Wellness = informed choices. 🌱

Have you talked with your doctor about what preventive screenings are best for you? Let’s start the conversation ⬇️

Movement doesn’t have to look the same every day… the goal is just to keep your body in motion. 👇🏾
✨ Pilates
✨ Zumba
✨ Line Dancing

This week, I chose joy through motion. How are YOU deciding to move your body this week? Let’s get it! ❤️

This is what freedom looks like.

Braids that speak stories.
Hands that pass down culture.
Movements rooted in joy, rhythm, and resistance.
This Juneteenth, we celebrate the beauty, power, and softness of Black girlhood and womanhood…. past, present, and future.

We don’t just remember freedom.
We embody it through double Dutch, dancing in denim, and showing up in our full truth.

Because wellness is our revolution.
And joy? That’s our protest. 🖤✨

To every kind of mama and every kind of heart today…

Today, we celebrate you.
The mom in the thick of raising littles.
The new mom still finding her rhythm.
The stepmom loving someone else’s babies like her own.
The woman who’s been a mother figure without ever giving birth.
The grieving mom, carrying loss that words can’t ease.
The daughter missing her mom deeply.
The one who never got the mom she needed.
The cycle breaker, the nurturer, the fierce protector, the soft place to land.

However Mother’s Day meets you this year whether with joy, tears, ache, or gratitude, you are seen.
You are honored.
You are loved.

From our hearts to yours,
Happy Mother’s Day.

MBGR x Girls Run STL = PURE JOY
We showed up in unity, moved in purpose, and created space for fun, culture, and connection.
From cheering on the girls to repping MBGR with pride, today was a reminder that joy is an act of resistance, and community is our superpower.

For the Girls. For the Culture. For Joy.
We rise. We recess. We keep going.
