Cedarhurst Senior Living

Cedarhurst Senior Living We believe our communities are more than just a place to live, they are a place to call home.

At Cedarhurst, we believe our communities are more than just a place to live, it’s a place to call home. We know and believe that a real home isn’t just four walls and a place to hang your hat. Home is a place where friends and family gather, a place to entertain and share stories, a place for baking, playing games, gardening, exercising and most importantly -a place to thrive! Cedarhurst believes in supporting a strong local community and encouraging our residents to stay involved with the community through events, outings and activities. We help build strong family relationships before, during and after the transition by offering support and including the family members in our care plans. Most of all, Cedarhurst is able to help you maintain your independence while offering safety, support and a more carefree lifestyle.

Have you ever thought about making your own bookmark out of fabric? Or better yet, personalizing it to match your own style?

Residents had the opportunity to do just that during a special visit from artist Dave Walker from Cedarhurst of Columbia. He shared his beautiful “fabricscapes,” created from layers of fabric and full of color and texture. One favorite, “Button Bouquet Under Wall,” was made from old upholstery fabric and is featured.

After learning about his creative process, residents rolled up their sleeves and designed their own fabric bookmarks. Each one was as unique as the person who made it!

It all started with a simple daily visit and turned into something much more.

John stops by Harry’s apartment each day to check in and share a few moments together. Over time, those small routines became something Harry looks forward to and something John never misses. It’s a reminder that the strongest connections are built one day at a time.
