July is National Minority Mental Health Month, a time dedicated to amplifying awareness of the mental health challenges disproportionately impacting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. But at Felicity Counseling, this awareness isn't limited to just one month. It’s part of how we show up—every day.
Mental health is not one-size-fits-all. BIPOC communities face unique barriers to mental wellness, including:
Lack of access to culturally competent care
Historical and intergenerational trauma
Systemic racism and discrimination
Stigma around mental illness and therapy
Misdiagnosis or underdiagnosis
Language and financial barriers
And yet, even in the face of these challenges, there is so much resilience. BIPOC individuals and families have always created healing spaces—through community, culture, storytelling, spirituality, and advocacy.
At Felicity Counseling, we are committed to holding space that reflects and respects the lived experiences of the communities we serve. Whether you're navigating trauma, stress, identity, grief, relationships, or generational patterns—your story belongs here. We offer culturally responsive, inclusive, and trauma-informed care that meets you where you are.
We believe that representation matters—in therapy rooms, on your timelines, and in the stories we share. Healing looks different for everyone. Your healing matters.
If you’ve ever felt unseen or unheard in mental health spaces, know this:
We see you. We honor your story. And we’re here to walk with you.
