With remarkable teammates by your side, anything is possible.

Just a couple of days ago, our dedicated staff showed up ready to support one of our most attended Career Development Seminars yet!

Hundreds of guests eagerly filed in to learn from Dr. Bik, and whether welcoming attendees, offering resources, or answering questions, each person played a role in making the event a success.

So grateful for this incredible team!

We can't thank Dr. Elisabeth Bik enough for joining us yesterday! Kicking off our Career Development Seminar series, she led us through engaging workshops and a phenomenal lecture. Not only did she showcase her deep expertise on research misconduct but also her great sense of humor 😄

A huge thank you to Dr. Jay Piccirillo and the TL1 program for making it possible for the WashU community to connect with such a distinguished expert in image forensics!

It’s official! Our newest MSCI and MTPCI scholars have completed orientation and are ready to take the next steps in their careers as clinical investigators. Yesterday, they learned more about the programs, met with leaders Dr. Dominic Reeds and Dr. Roger Yusen, and explored ICTS resources with Dr. Jenny McKenzie.

We love how these programs bring together professionals from across WashU Medicine, with our newest scholars representing the Departments of Psychiatry, Otolaryngology, and the WashU Med Department of Medicine. By connecting across disciplines, our scholars can learn from one another, collaborate, and contribute to the future of research and medicine. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

Throughout the summer, our trainees learned from dynamic leaders through the Friday Seminar Series. Alison Antes, PhD, kicked off the series with a thought-provoking discussion on ethics in research, and Eric Leuthardt, MD, closed out the series by inspiring our trainees to push their creative limits and innovate in medicine.

As we reflect on the summer, we’re grateful for all our incredible speakers. As we prepare for the new semester, we're excited for what’s ahead!

We want to take a moment to celebrate all the tremendous work this ASPIRE cohort accomplished this summer! Although the program is only 8 weeks long, these students truly impressed us with their rigorous training, commitment to their projects, and delivery of phenomenal final presentations.

Thank you to Dr. Jay Piccirillo for his amazing leadership, and to all of our mentors and trainees. This incredible program would not be possible without each and every one of you!
