Join us in celebrating KL2 alum Kelly Harris, PhD, CCC-SLP, for being selected as one of five William T. Grant Scholars for the Class of 2030! This well-earned recognition highlights her impactful research and commitment to improving outcomes for students with chronic conditions. Congratulations, Dr. Harris!

Congratulations to Kelly Harris, PhD, CCC-SLP, who is featured in The Record for being selected as a William T. Grant scholar. The prestigious award, funded by the William T. Grant Foundation, supports early-career researchers and provides $425,000 for each of the scholars to develop their research and broaden their skills and expertise. “This program will support our work supporting care coordination across medical and education settings to improve health and academic outcomes for Black youth with asthma,” says Harris. The is currently seeking applications for the KL2 Career Development Awards Program, aimed at incoming or current junior faculty interested in clinical and translational research. This program provides financial support and infrastructure allowing scholars protected time to perform research and engage in formal didactic instruction.

**Beginning this year, we’re excited to offer a dedicated slot for a junior faculty member conducting Population Health Research!

Join Us in Supporting Tornado Relief for North County St. Louis
In the wake of the May 2025 tornado that devastated areas of North County St. Louis, we’re organizing a Tornado Relief Drive to support affected families and individuals.

We are accepting donations through Friday, June 27.

Drop-off locations:
Medical School
📍 McMillan Hospital: 6th, 7th, and 11th floors near elevators
📍 Becker Medical Library
📍 FLTC Atrium
📍 Mid Campus Center Suite 9400
📍 NRB 1st Floor by reception
📍 NRB 3rd Floor by Kaldi's

Most-needed items include:
Non-perishable food (especially canned goods with pop-top lids, pasta, rice)
Bottled water
Cleaning supplies (bleach, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, trash bags, rubber gloves)
Personal hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products)
Diapers and baby wipes
Towels and blankets
New socks and underwear (all sizes)
Flashlights and batteries
First-aid supplies
Tarps and work gloves
