Meet Katlin Koch, CNA at our Blue Springs, MO branch, who has been part of the Beacon family for 4 months!

Katlin shares what hospice means to her:
"I love the personalization of care in Hospice. Every patient is different and we’re able to be flexible with that. For one patient, doing their dishes takes a massive weight off their shoulders, whereas another patient might need help with showering to feel safe. I love being able to help each patient in the way that will help them the most. Being able to be a safe space for our patients is extremely rewarding."

When she’s not caring for patients, Katlin enjoys antique shopping and repurposing unique finds, tackling home improvement projects with her partner, and snuggling with her many fur babies. 🐾

Thank you, Katlin, for bringing compassion, flexibility, and heart to our patients and families every day. We’re grateful to have you on the Beacon team! 💙✨

Meet Hollie from our Davenport branch!

Hollie is a CNA and has been with Beacon of Hope Hospice for almost 6 years. To Hollie, hospice means compassion, care, and respect for patients and families during their time of need — helping provide the peace and comfort they deserve.

She shared, “I love being a hospice CNA,” and that heart shows in the work she does every day.

Fun fact about Hollie: she loves gardening, being outdoors, going on motorcycle rides, and spending time with family making every memory count.

Donut worry, be berry happy 🍩🍓

We had such a fun morning celebrating Nursing Home Week 2026 with brunch at Hill Top at Blue River! From donuts and fresh fruit to lots of laughs and good conversation, it was a sweet way to show appreciation for the amazing staff and residents.

Our HCC, Clinical Liaison, and one of the facility CNAs all joined in on the fun — and we loved getting to spend the morning together. Thank you for letting Beacon of Hope Hospice be part of your celebration! 💙💚

Happy Nurses Week to the amazing staff at The Hilltop at Blue River!

Beacon of Hope Hospice had so much fun putting together a smoothie bar filled with fresh fruit and treats to help celebrate the hardworking nurses and staff who give so much of themselves every day.
