✨ Employee Spotlight ✨
Kaylin Downs is one of our Hospice Care Consultants with our Galesburg, IL Branch. She has been with us for 8 Years.

Kaylin started her journey with Beacon as a CNA, not fully understanding what hospice truly meant.

“Eight years ago, I thought hospice was about death.”

Over time, she’s grown into new roles—including Team Assistant and now Hospice Care Consultant—and discovered something much deeper.

“Hospice is how we live, how we care, and how we show up… with comfort, dignity, and compassion when families need it most.”

She’s a proud wife to Jesse, mom, and grandma who loves spending time with her family, kayaking, riding 4-wheelers, and enjoying the outdoors.

“It’s not about losing time—it’s about making the time left meaningful.”

Kaylin has held hands, wiped tears, and witnessed incredible strength—reminding us that hospice is something you don’t fully understand until you experience it.

💙 Thank you, Kaylin, for showing up with heart every single day.

Behind every name is a life, a story, and a family who loves them deeply.

It was an honor to care for Mel and to be trusted during such a meaningful time.

We are so grateful to his family for allowing us to be part of his journey. 💙

💙 It’s not always easy to know when it’s time to consider hospice.

Many families wait longer than they need to simply because they’re unsure what signs to look for—or they think it’s “too soon.”

The truth is, hospice is about comfort, support, and quality of life—and it can begin earlier than most people realize.

If you or someone you love is experiencing these changes, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

We’re here to answer questions, offer guidance, and support you every step of the way 💙
