Thank you to for hosting a beautiful event out at Creve Coeur Park over the weekend. Our owner and music therapist, Tracie, had the honor of performing with Board Member, Deb Busch, and her family an original song written by Deb for her niece, Kayla.

Music therapy offers a unique path to healing, helping individuals find their voice, process trauma, and regulate emotions—all essential elements in mental health, su***de prevention, and grief processing. It reminds us that even when words fail, there is always a way to express our pain, find connection, and move toward hope.

September is also Su***de Prevention Month, a time for reflection, action, and open conversation about mental health.

This month serves as an important reminder that it’s okay not to be okay, and that support is always available.

We are incredibly proud to partner with Spread Jake’s Smiles, an organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and su***de prevention through acts of kindness and community engagement. Their work is a beacon of hope, reminding us of the power of connection and the importance of looking out for one another.

🎗️September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re so proud to shine a light on the incredible partnership between Music Therapy St. Louis and Spread Ari’s Light. ✨

For children battling cancer, music isn’t just a distraction—it’s a powerful tool for healing, expression, and joy. Thanks to the amazing work of Music Therapy St. Louis and the support of foundations like Spread Ari’s Light, kids in our community are able to use music to cope with pain, anxiety, and the emotional challenges of their journey.

Spread Ari’s Light was created in memory of Arianna “Ari” Dougan, who found immense joy in music and dance during her own fight. Her family’s foundation continues to honor her spirit by supporting programs that bring light to other children facing similar battles.

This month, let’s go gold for all the brave kids and their families. Please consider supporting organizations that provide vital services like music therapy, which truly helps “Spread Ari’s Light” and brings hope to those who need it most.

In music, the 7th note creates a pull towards the tonic, a resolution. It creates tension, beauty, and the pull to come “home.” This 7th year symbolizes the ongoing rhythm of growth and return to purpose. This is a reminder that together, we are always moving toward harmony. Over the years, we’ve learned that true harmony happens when people unite around a shared passion, commitment, and mission.

Meet Rosalie! Rosalie was born in Wisconsin, where her love for music was fostered through singing and songwriting, as it gave her a means to process her emotions and life events. This fueled her passion to go on to study music therapy. Rosalie graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her bachelor’s in
music therapy. Rosalie has experience in geriatric, psychiatric, developmental,
and medicine & rehabilitation. Rosalie is a neurologic music therapist, using this specialization to help clients in cognitive, speech, and motor goals. Rosalie has a strong passion for work in behavior, trauma, and self-management using music therapy.
In December 2024, Rosalie completed her master’s in special education & applied behavior analysis. Rosalie believes music is the strongest motivator and reinforcer for positive change. Rosalie’s working experience ranges from ID/DD to early childhood development and trauma all the way to forensic psychiatric.
