A few hours before midnight ON SUNDAY, the Moon aligned with the Sun in Aries marking the New Moon. Technically, this is a Dark Moon, a bit different from the New Moon.
The Dark Moon is the period between the waning moon and the waxing moon which can cover 1-3 days in duration depending on your location on the planet. The New Moon is marked by the initial illumination from the Sun or when you see 7-10% illumination reflected from the Sun, typically 1-3 days following the dark moon period.
Moving forward, ASTROVISIONS NEW MOON forecasts will post a day or two following the dark moon.

2018 ARIES INGRESS-The NEW ASTROLOGICAL YEAR: A Brief glance through Mundane Astrology

Scorpio was rising in the sidereal Aries ingress of the Sun on April 14th. Mars, ruler of Scorpio conjunct Saturn in the Aries ingress 2nd house. This suggest a nation’s coming concern of its economy. With Scorpio on the rise and a fixed sign, this chart is valid for 12 months.
In the US, when Scorpio is rising, major changes happen in financial and economic sectors. By looking back, we can glean ideas for what to expect moving forward.
As the wrote: "there also wasn't an Aries ingress chart with Scorpio rising that had Jupiter in Libra in the 12th. There were 3 that had it in Aries (1905, 1952), Sagittarius (1901, 1913, 1948), and Cancer (1944, 1979). “In 1901, Scorpio rising with Mars in Leo (10th house), President McKinley was assassinated.” Moreover, Jupiter and Saturn in the 2nd house of that chart, the stock market crashed in May of that same year.
She further writes, “There was also a strike by the Amalgamated Association of Iron, Steel and Tin Workers.”
Not long ago, POTUS 45 imposed a tariff on steel and companies are currently paying double now. Soon steel companies will pass the cost increase on to the consumer, this adversely affecting the nations buying power. Standby for a backlash, perhaps at the voting booths.
In 1913, Scorpio was rising with a 2nd house Jupiter and the Federal Reserve Bank was re-born.
With Mars, the planet of war ruling the Ingress ascendant the US, right on target with the transit, launched a surgical airstrike, sending missiles and high explosive bombs on Syria. A surgical strike on a foreign “enemy” costing the taxpayers several hundred million dollars. The Scorpio ascendant also suggests covert military action and of course the Central Intelligence Agency will be busy as well. Scorpio rules covert actions.
It is estimated that the 118 Tomahawk missiles launched against Syria costs $1.59ML per totaling $224ML. This is attack on Syria has been on the books for over a decade. Be not surprised.
From a political perspective, this Astrological year will be busy. Mars will retrograde through Capricorn bringing a restructuring in government in some way. Many are routing for 45 to be deposed, impeached or forced to resign. That may happen but not before the November mid-term elections. Mars/Saturn and Pluto are all in the 2nd house of the ingress chart bringing a self-protected focus on the nations economy.
An event related to a foreign nation could create a financial crisis which could play out over the next 9 months or so. Expect wild fluctuations in investment markets. We could see a major correction in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and perhaps a new bottom in crypto currencies by years end.
Mars last retrograde in Capricorn happened during the Nixon years. This is when the gold standard was suspended. Look for some type of economic turbulence in July/August following the Solar Eclipse are the Gemini/Sagittarius axis. This will activate the second house of the current Ingress chart. Reactionary decisions could lead to military action during this period which will cause panic in the markets.
Regarding the Mid-Terms, Venus will be rising in Libra during a New Moon on the morning of the election. Ordinarily, Venus rising on election day bodes well for incumbents, however, the retrograde motion during an election suggests buyers remorse and a re-consideration our collective relationship with politicians. Voters will likely find it difficult to assess value moving forward with the current cast of characters in the halls of congress. While this will not come as a surprise to anyone who follows national politics, the 2018 Mid-Term Election will be a bloodbath for all incumbents, particularly the red party.
And while we are on Venus, posited in the 2018 ingress chart 6th house, writes “1952, the year of the polio outbreak, also had Jupiter in Aries in the 6th. That's important to note because I don't think I see evidence for anything of that sort. Only maybe Venus there in Aries and some superbug like that untreatable gonorrhea. Not an outbreak though.” This could also bring a new strain of an existing s*xual disease.
Jupiter in the 12th house speaks to spies begin very busy and one getting caught could spark in international crisis. Look for this to involve the usual suspects, Russia, China, North Korea or Iran.

MOON/SUN/URANUS CONJUNCTION -Go with the flow
The Moon/Sun transit has Libra rising at the time of the exact conjunction and this is the 12th of the Aries ingress chart. Watch for news of prison riots or escape attempts. Also, look for legislation to be introduced regarding unjust prison sentences. Alternatively, a judge may unilaterally reduce unfair sentences in trial causing a major controversy.
The Moon/Conjunction falls in the 7th house pointing to new relationships and new partnerships.
The conjunction the Sun makes to Uranus suggests exciting change, unpredictable events and opportunities to break out of ruts! For those who faced the fears of ending that unhealthy partnership in Pisces season can find the courage to break away during the Solar transit through Aries.
Job changes, modifications in partnerships and relationships are all on the table.
This Sun/Uranus transit will be most active this week with the exact conjunction happening on April 18th, just after the Moon transits through Ta**us, casting the first light of this New Moon Cycle. This transit can indicate meeting an eccentric, unusual or unique personality. You may be delighted as you attract a new exciting lover, a financial windfall or an unexpected pregnancy.
Restlessness, impatience, the potential for road-rage are all strong during this cycle running though the end of the month.
A boost in the intuitive faculties is not uncommon with this transit. Self-awareness can improve now.
Things can change in a hurry therefore it is best to go with the flow in the face of change rather than fighting against it. This is also a really good time to practice patience, tolerance, fairness and letting things be as they are.
Attractions to people and things from other cultures in common. This can range from an attraction to a person with an accent or unusual dialect to meeting someone with love interests from a different socio-economic or societal background.

MARS SEXTILE NEPTUNE-Dreamy romance
Mars, active as the depositor of this lunation and in s*xtile with Neptune brings to the surface activities and actions centered on imagination, intuition, relaxation and idealistic romance. Mars/Neptune can indicate sensual desires for romance and s*x. This transit can take on elements of the Venus/Mars alignments.
Mars in harmony with Neptune from sidereal Sagittarius to Aquarius, where Neptune currently transits can indicate an excellent time to mediate and think about goals. This is also a good time to focus on aspects of spirituality.
Some may choose to study occult sciences or read literature on the psychic mind.
Those who suffer from a previously contracted STD could experience a flare up during this period.
This is an excellent time for water therapy, speeding time near a body of water or even meditation to the sound of water.
Satiating the ego drive may be difficult during this transit.

Feeling lazy, unmotivated and self-indulgent? This is common when the Greater and Lesser Benefic align. I often say to clients, when these two align, good things can happen.
Self-discipline with take a lot of effort for those under this influence.
Single people can meet new lovers and friends during this transit. Opportunities for expansion and growth may also occur for those in alignment with this energy. Some may struggle to complete tasks because this is an energy that we would rather indulge ourselves in pursuit of pleasures rather than doing something meaningful and productive.
A surprise gift may be instore for some. With the retrograde of Jupiter, this gift may be delayed however, knowledge of this gift can occur within 2-4 weeks.
First time public appearances made now will serve to as a boost to your popularity.
In some unique cases, this transit can symbolize difficulties with women. High expectations can lead to disappointment. This can cause undue tensions. Suspend all expectations outside of yourself.

JUPITER SEXTILE PLUTO-Making creative changes in your life
Need a boost in confidence? Now is the time to reach for it!
Opportunities can present themselves designed to give you confidence to move forward and accomplish goals. This is a huge departure from last month when many may have felt stifled and stuck in the mud.
Others may be offered chances to take control of their lives and weld their personal power to effect a positive change. Conversely, change can occur with little or no effort from you. If this happens, sn**ch and grab it. As my maternal great-grandmother use to say, “baby don’t like a gift horse in the mouth. Take and ride it home.”
This is a time to act with high morals, deal with others above board and avoid abusing your power.
This can be a time for sound judgement and good decision making.
Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius and Pisces can point the spiritual world. Pluto is indication of transformation and regeneration. As such, this is a period when a spiritual rebirth can play out.
This is a process that may have began about 10 years ago when Jupiter and Pluto last made its conjunction.

VENUS TRINE PLUTO-Intense expressions of love
Existing love relationships can change in power ways during this lunation. This transit can impel us to express our emotions in a very intense fashion. This can be a healing, transforming and a positive experience.
These expressions of love will be felt throughout your entire being (mind, body and spirit).
New relationships started now will be intense. In some ways the Venus person is unconsciously seduced by the Pluto person who air of mystery is too irresistible to the Venus person.
