On July 1 and 2nd, the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus had so many beautiful blessings to celebrate. Congratulations to Sr. M. Anunciata Grace on making her 1st Profession on July 1. Additionally, Sr. M. Magdalene Therese and Sr. Mariana Joy renewed their vows for another year. Sr. M. Angela Therese of the Holy Family celebrated her 75th Anniversary of being in vows.
On July 2, the foundation day of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, Sr. M. Alicia de los Angeles de la Sagrada Familia, gave her ultimate fiat to her Divine Bridegroom and professed her Final Vows.

What a fun week celebrating our staff and residents for National Nursing Home week. The theme of the week was 'The Tapestry of Life.' One of our talented volunteers created a huge tapestry out of quilt squares for our residents, staff and Sisters to sign. Other events of interest: Double bingo, tie dying, pop-up snack shop, snow cone truck, breakfast sandwiches for weekend staff, mexican lunch for weekday staff and matching t-shirts for all! It made for a great group photo!

"Adios, Au Revoir, Auf Wiedersehen!"

And so, our 2nd Annual International Week comes to a close here at St. Agnes Home. We hope all of our residents had fun at our multicultural events this week ranging from Polish crafts and British games to a Mandarin lesson and Croatian performers!! We tried to have something for everyone and to learn a little along the way. 🙂
