We offer Wellness Care, Diagnostics, Surgery, Dental Care, and Physical Therapy for dogs and cats. House calls offered if necessary.
Our founder, Pamela Clary D.V.M., has cared for dogs and cats for more than 15 years. A resident of the Central West End, she has always dreamed of a clinic in the neighborhood. She has taken great care in building a knowledgeable, friendly, and caring staff.

Good afternoon, pet families!
You're probably already aware of the risks posed by warm weather and leaving pets in hot cars, but did you know that cold weather also poses serious threats to your pets' health?
Just like people, pets' cold tolerance can vary from pet to pet based on their coat, body fat stores, activity level, and health. Be aware of your pet's tolerance for cold weather, and adjust accordingly.
Arthritic and elderly pets may have more difficulty walking on snow and ice and may be more prone to slipping and falling.
During walks, your pet's feet, legs and belly may pick up deicers, antifreeze, or other chemicals that could be toxic. Before walks, put Vaseline or shoes on your pet’s paws to protect them from sidewalk salt and chemicals. When you get back inside, wipe down (or wash) your pet's feet, legs and belly to remove these chemicals and reduce the risk that your dog will be poisoned after.
Check your pet's paws and ears frequently for signs of cold-weather injury or damage, such as cracked, dry or painful paw pads from frostbite.
Most of all, enjoy your warm time indoors with your pets!

This little guy got all dressed up to come see Dr Walker today! During his yearly annual exam, Boo received a ProHeart 12 injection. ProHeart 12 is a once a year protective medicine that prevents heartworm disease in dogs. It’s very convenient for his pet parent because with their busy schedules they don’t have to remember to give him medication each month. It’s also convenient because Boo comes to visit Dr Walker annually for his preventative care and gets his ProHeart 12 at the same time!
Did you know heartworm disease is on the rise? Only 1/3 of dogs are given heartworm disease prevention. It’s easy for owners to miss doses or be late in giving monthly chewables. Dogs can spit out medicine or vomit after getting monthly chewables. With changes in climate conditions, heartworms are thriving. Increasing number of pets traveling with owners means an increased chance for spreading heartworms.
“Nails” says “thanks Dr. Clary for taking such good care of me!”
Dr. Clary and Dr. Walker are working hard to keep our neighborhood furry friends healthy!

Stafford County Animal Shelter
Is anyone missing their tiny grumpy kitten ?
This little Persian or Himalayan ( it’s hard to tell with its flat face and missing hair) came into us after she was found near a job site off route one . She is not microchipped and had no form of identification . The shelter staff couldn’t help but name her “Furby” . We suspect she may have ringworm , but we will take her to the vet for a skin scrap and official diagnosis . She will be kept at the shelter until her stray hold ends .
We are currently NOT accepting adoption inquiries or applications for this companion at this time . Thank you ♥️
