Fault, blame, inability at the time to process/understand, subconscious self pity, low self esteem might all be valid but the work it takes to forgive, heal, accept, process, and roll with is the real stuff. Coming to terms with our "stuff", chosen or not, is an individual process. I respect you, where you've been, and where you're at. You are not what happened to you. You are what you do.

Healing is our responsibility because we have this one life, this single shot to do something important.
