On June 23, 2019, the Langsdorf family experienced the unthinkable. Their Hero, Officer Michael Langsdorf was killed in the line of duty. Turning tragedy into hope and service to others, Bess & Jerry Langsdorf began the Michael V. Langsdorf Scholarship Fund to honor their son's legacy 💙💛

Each year, your generosity helps support Heroes by providing financial assistance to future EMS, Police and Firefighters on their journey. The fund also provides training equipment & upgrades to the institutions that prepare these students for a life of service.

🌟 Join us for the Michael V. Langsdorf Memorial Golf Outing & Dinner June 3rd 2026 🌟 It's a day full of friends, family, laughter and fun on the course. “The legacy of Heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example.”

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Captain Tommy Shine. Tommy fought tirelessly and with unwavering determination, and his journey inspired countless others as they followed along. Our thoughts are with everyone whose life was touched by this exceptional firefighter and tremendous human being.

He found true purpose in serving others, spreading joy, and living life with gratitude. Through his years with the Wentzville Fire Protection District, he embodied compassion, dedication, and the spirit of service, always striving to make a positive difference in our communities.

Tommy’s light, kindness and strength will forever remain in our hearts. We stand united with the Shine family and all his Firefighter brothers and sisters as we honor his memory and support them through this difficult time.

We were honored to join with Adonis, Fairway Automotive and Kettle River Furniture & Bedding to provide the local Heroes of the STLFD much needed upgrades to office chairs, mattresses and more!! These brave men & women spend countless hours away from their loved ones to protect our own. Because of your generosity, they now have a better environment to adequately reset and replenish 💙🚒💛

This is not the news we had hoped to share. Our hearts are heavy, and our thoughts are with you all. Thank you for your service. May you rest in peace, Officer Triplett 💙💛

We’re devastated.

Our beloved colleague and friend, Police Officer Gregory Triplett, 58, fought til the very end. He passed away after suffering a medical emergency during a training exercise.

Officer Triplett faithfully served the citizens of St. Louis and the SLMPD for nearly 32 years.

Please keep Officer Triplett’s family, friends and the entire SLMPD in your prayers.
