The EverTrue Hospice Memorable Moments program creates joy in even the most delicate times. For Karen K., a resident at Manchester Rehab and Healthcare who receives EverTrue Hospice services, that joy came in memories of having more fun as a blonde.

“I haven’t been blonde in a long time,” Karen shared when she asked to have her hair dyed and styled for her Memorable Moment. “Feathered and layered and blonde – that’s how I used to like my hair.”

With her health conditions, having her hair done became challenging in recent years.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to create customized Memorable Moments for our patients to help them feel positive and special during what is typically a scary and difficult time. With Karen, I knew we could make her request happen,” said Kari Johnson, the EverTrue Anywhere Care liaison who helped organize the day.

The EverTrue Anywhere Care and EverTrue Hospice team members coordinated a special salon day just for Karen. Emily Tantaris, a local stylist, brought Karen’s vision to life.

“When we took the foils off and she saw that blonde again, her smile said it all,” Emily said.

Martina Glenn, a CNA with EverTrue Hospice who cares for Karen, was honored to be part of her Memorable Moment. “When I found out she wanted me to be part of her day, I cried. It made me feel special to be part of someone’s memory,” said Martina.

“Today wasn’t just a new hair style for Karen. It was love, care and being seen.”

EverTrue to his purpose and passion, Hil Teske shares his talent for photography with fellow residents at EverTrue Breeze Park

Today is World Photography Day – honoring the art, science and joy of capturing life through a lens – and a great day to put the focus on Hil!

Since moving to EverTrue Breeze Park, Hil’s love for photography has flourished. From the community’s blooming native garden 🌸 to exciting day-to-day moments, he’s always ready to snap something special.

His work is featured in displays across the community – including breathtaking shots of the Blue Angels ✈️, vibrant orchids at the Missouri Botanical Garden 🌺 and iconic scenes from New York City 🏙️.

Currently, he’s planning a Fall exhibit, possibly with a seasonal twist 🍂.

For Hil, photography is a way to stay connected, share joy and create lasting memories. “I really enjoy seeing others smile when they see a moment they were part of, captured forever,” he says. 📷❤️

What a full (and fun!) couple of days in Assisted Living! ☀️

Residents whipped up delicious Greek yogurt fruit parfaits, connected over Coffee Talk, enjoyed our very first Men’s Luncheon, and we even had a little magic from a visiting magician. 🪄

Linda Harris, a cook with the Care Center at EverTrue Lenoir Woods in Columbia, Mo., celebrated 50 years with our organization, and had only one thing on her mind when thinking about all her hard work – “the residents."

Linda’s focus and commitment to the EverTrue mission, purpose and values have made her instrumental as a role model and a leader in the Dining Services department where she not only creates great food, but also helps to encourage the residents to eat through interaction and personality.

“Since I was first interviewed, my focus has been the residents. Their happiness is really what we are here for.” That energy and enthusiasm is what makes Linda one of the top employees in the Evertrue Lenoir Woods Dining Services. “Linda has done so much for our department. We are lucky to have her,” said Jason Martin, Director of Dining Services.

Linda’s fellow team members and a few residents were able to share their well wishes for her big anniversary.

She is the only EverTrue team member to hit this remarkable milestone of 50 years in 2025. Celebrate Linda with us by wishing her a Happy 50th Anniversary!

Centennial Plaza - Managed by EverTrue team members and residents presented women and children of The Haven of Grace women’s shelter with 80 special gift baskets, which were created during Centennial Plaza's recent Joy Week.

Joy Week is an annual week of special activities and gatherings hosted at EverTrue Affordable Housing Communities to celebrate the team, residents and families.

Residents enjoyed collecting the items and creating the baskets, but the biggest reward was sharing joy and supporting the larger St. Louis community!
