"The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible is not the goal. Standing on your hands is not the goal. The goal is serenity. Balance. Truly finding peace in your own skin.” ― Rachel Brathen

Yoga classes coming in November!

I hope you all had a really nice weekend and Mother's Day! It's been a minute since I have had a chance to do a yoga practice video, but here it is:)
I have been thinking a lot about gratitude, and at first glance it may not seem like it, but there is still so much to be grateful for. So this practice is for gratitude and it centers around the heart, from my heart to yours, with gratitudeπŸ’–

Hello! This seems to be a time when so many people are experiencing times of high anxiety. Yoga, pranayama and savasana can help with that!!
This is a short practice that you can do anytime you are feeling anxious, I hope that you find it helpful!!! Stay safe,

Leslie

I hope everyone had a joyful Easter weekend!
I know a lot of people are feeling the stress and anxiety of having to stay in, away from friends and family, unable to move around in the way they are used to doing. With this yoga practice, I have combined a small meditation with the savasana to help counteract some of the anxiety you may be experiencing.
We sure don't have control over much right now, but we still have control over our reaction, and yoga will help us with that. My friends Sharon and Kathy who own the beautiful Agape Yoga Studio posted today " Even on my worst days, Yoga has always made me feel better" on their post with a notice for a yoga practice. They are so right!!! Let yoga make you feel better too .
Namaste,
Leslie

Happy middle of the week! Here is a little yoga practice for you. I hope you are all healthy, happy and staying safe. Even though we are experiencing such an unusual way of living, there are still so many things that we have to be thankful for. Just to be able to access so many things through the internet is truly amazing. The funny posts really help keep me going, I had no idea I had so many funny friends!!! Keep those going, especially the ones with animals :)
It can be hard, but try to stay patient with each other, and especially with yourselves. Allow yourselves grace during this time, it is hard to be loving and kind with others if you don't allow this for yourself, in fact, that can be your word for the day, Metta - loving kindness :)

Come and sit with me a bit and do a little yoga! Sometimes you need a change and yoga in a chair is just enough πŸ˜‰.
For this practice you will need a chair, just a folding chair or a kitchen chair will do. It is good to have a mat to place it on so that it doesn't slide, or put the back of the chair against a wall or a door, and join me for awhile!
Namaste,
Leslie

Full yoga session

03/30/2020

Here is our second yoga class! I decided to do a full length class for this one, later in the week I plan to do a shorter one again. With a little variety, you will have some choices when you want to practice!! I still don't have this down very well, you can hear Steve and I talking to each other before we turn off the video πŸ˜‰, and my Boston Terrier, Nick, decides to stop by and do his own Downward Dog. So we are going to give you a little laugh as well as some yoga! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. If you are bored, there are so many funny things people are posting! And, of course, yoga!!!
Namaste,
Leslie
