Gus is my rescued deaf boxer/bully mix who just became a certified therapy dog on 5/4/2015! Email us This page is dedicated to my rescue dog Gus.

Gus was born on 12/14/14 at Hope Animal Rescues in Godfrey, IL. He was born deaf along with a few of his litter mates and then, only because his very pregnant mommy was saved at the 11th hour at animal control. If it wasn’t for rescue, Gus would not even be here. I adopted Gus as a puppy--I have another dog, Finnegan, who is very picky about his dog friends, so I knew it would take a special dog for Finn to accept. Luckily for me, Finnegan liked Gus and Gus is the absolute perfect little brother to him. Since adopting him, we have earned our AKC Puppy S.T.A.R, AKC Canine Good Citizen, and became a therapy dog team through CHAMP. My goal of this page is to promote our therapy team work, education on bully breeds, adoption, and special needs dogs. Thanks for stopping by!

I got to be Arnold the pig from Green Acres in the CHAMP Assistance Dogs fundraiser, Hurray for Howl-e-woof!!!! It was so fun!! Rebecca Sheehan KSDK and her husband John were awesome as Oliver and Lisa Douglas and I loved walking the runway with them!!

PS mom also got to see a real pig and fell in love! Pic in comments.
