Derek Abt is a multi-instrumentalist and live looping artist whose performances fuse musical mastery with spiritual presence. Blending elements of funk, soul, and electronic dance music, Derek builds entire soundscapes live on stage, layering guitar, bass, keys, percussion, and vocals into a seamless symphony of groove and emotion.
Derek’s 2022 debut single, “The Gift,” told the story of a young man lost in the shadows, wrestling with doubt and searching for his worth, only to emerge into the brilliance of his own light. With his recent releases "Dreamin" and "Time With You" Derek has broken through the bounds of genres, bridging the gap from spiritual serenades into deep dance rhythms designed to uplift the soul AND move the body.
His shows are both electrifying and intimate: one moment, the crowd is lifted by pulsing rhythms and ecstatic energy; the next, they’re grounded in heartfelt lyrics and melodic stillness.
