Since January 2019 I have been living with the effects of multiple sclerosis. This has been the biggest struggle and the most amazing blessing in my life. For the past year and a half I have taken on many practices to listen and trust my intuition in all aspects of my life, especially in regard to medical and self-care. By intuition, I mean, “the ability to understand something immediately without the need for conscious reasoning. “ By definition, seems simple enough and let me tell you, that it is not always easy! My logical mind gets LOUD not to mention the voiced opinion, judgment and advice of others. At this point, I have chosen to take a holistic approach to manage my MS. This does not always sit well with traditional western medical doctors (based on my experience). And not all holistic practitioners are the one for me – as I have discovered along the way. I am learning and practicing to continue to rely on that inner knowing whether it relates to new doctors/practitioners, different treatments, recommendations, books to read, foods to eat and people to spend time with, etc. As a result of listening, trusting and taking correlated actions, my MS is stable – no new lesions or active lesions. As a matter of fact, the lesions I had on my spinal cord (last year) are no longer!!! Though I do continue to experience the effects of “old” lesions, I believe I am healing. I will continue to take on practices to strengthen my connection to my Higher Self/the Universe/God and trust! Though I have known and have provided intuitional insight to others over the years, this too has strengthened in ability and desire. I am inviting you to join my journey of discovery to listen and trust your Higher Self.
