On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor a legacy rooted in courage, dignity, compassion, and service.

Last year today, you went on a ride along with a local police officer something you set up all on your own. You were so excited, and I remember how I couldn’t wait to hear every detail when you got back.

It feels like just yesterday you were telling me all about the crazy things you had saw and experienced. You talked with so much energy, replaying each moment like it mattered, because it did. Your curiosity, your awareness, and your eagerness to learn were shining so brightly that day.

I’m so grateful you were able to experience and fulfill so many of the things you were curious about. You followed your interests, asked questions, and stepped into moments that helped shape who you wanted to become. I was ready for your next chapter as an adult!!!

That day is one of the memories I hold closest to my heart. Your excitement, your courage, your curiosity they live with me always.

I miss you more than words can say, but I’m so thankful for the memories you left behind.

For me, today also carries a deeper meaning. It marks 9 months since my son, Jawuan “JuJu” Booker, has been away from us. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss his voice, his heart, his dreams, and the way he wanted to help others. 💔

In JuJu’s honor, I created The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu to turn pain into purpose to support mental health awareness, su***de prevention, emergency therapy assistance, education, and safe spaces for those who are silently struggling.

Giving Tuesday exists to remind us that giving isn’t just about money it’s about love, hope, and community. Today, your support helps us:

🌱 Now Seeking active Volunteers and Board Members 🌱

The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu was created in honor of my son, Jawuan “JuJu” Booker, whose life continues to inspire purpose, healing, and hope. In just four months, we have gone from an idea born from loss to a growing movement focused on mental health awareness, su***de prevention, education, and community support.

Now, as we move from foundation to expansion, we are seeking committed, purpose driven individuals to join our Board of Directors and help carry this mission forward.This is not a title only role.

➡️We are looking for board members who are:
✅Willing to actively serve, not just support in name
✅Ready to contribute time, skills, ideas, and heart
✅Comfortable working in a building phase nonprofit
✅Passionate about mental health, su***de prevention, youth, families, and community impact

➡️Board Member Expectations Include:
✅Attending monthly board meetings (virtual/in-person)
✅Volunteering 1–2 hours per month (behind the scenes or in the community)
✅Assisting with fundraising, outreach, events, and awareness efforts
✅Supporting programs such as the Reboot R Program, scholarships, 5Ks, and community initiatives
✅Serving as an ambassador for the foundation and its mission
✅Upholding integrity, compassion, confidentiality, and accountability

Before the night ends Welcome to 2026

A New Year. A Renewed Purpose. A Reboot with JuJu.

As we step into this new year, we pause with grateful hearts to reflect on what the past months have shown us: love changes lives, community heals, and purpose gives pain a voice.

In just a short time, The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu has grown from a vision born out of loss into a movement rooted in hope, healing, and resilience. Together, we supported families in need, created safe spaces for conversation, showed up during the holidays when it mattered most, and reminded so many that they are not alone.

We witnessed families feel seen. We shared smiles, hugs, tears, and moments of relief. We honored JuJu’s legacy by choosing service over silence and compassion over stigma.

💚 Because of YOU, we made an impact and this is only the beginning.

🌱 Looking Ahead to 2026, our mission continues to grow:
• Expanding mental health awareness and su***de prevention outreach
• Implementing the Reboot R Program in schools and communities
• Supporting more families through crisis and transition
• Creating scholarships, resources, and restorative spaces
