When clients become like family 💚

One of my clients sent baby Alex a handmade blankie just like her daughter had when she was a baby. Beautifully handmade by her sister and embroidered with his name. Did I mention her daughter also shares the same birthday with him?

This thing I built… NeuroThrive… started as a way for me to provide care the way I wanted and the way you needed, but who knew it would grow into something so beautiful, where clients become like family. I am ever so grateful for this life 💚

I created NeuroThrive to solve a few problems I discovered working with the stroke population as a physical therapist. These problems included:

🔸the tendency for activity and function to plateau or decrease following discharge from therapy
🔸the need for well rounded care that happens daily and is incorporated into every day life, not just once or twice a week in the clinic

How do we know you’re improving in your function if we don’t test your skills along your rehab journey?

These two measures are well researched in the stroke population to track progress and predict fall risk.

My client made significant improvement in both measures during her time participating in her NeuroThrive stroke rehab program! To put it into perspective of true function- she’s been able to walk without a device from just the length of her driveway to now around her local mall for 40+ minutes!

My husband and I welcomed our beautiful son into the world on December 29 🩵 we are over the moon!

I love sharing my life updates here, because clients aren’t just clients- they become friends and family.

I am looking forward to getting back into NeuroThrive now that life is settling a bit. I apologize for my absence during this time. Thank you to all my amazing clients and friends here who have been so supportive and thoughtful.

Being completely transparent and brutally honest, strikes f**king suck!!!!! They don’t just take away your mobility, but they can steal the things in your life that brought you so much happiness, meaning, and purpose.

These two are my loves, my husband Alex and my pup Jax. They bring me peak happiness and purpose. If I one day wasn’t able to do this simple activity of enjoying a walk in the park on a beautiful day, I don’t know what I would do.

When you work on yourself following stroke, these are the types of goals that mean THE MOST 💓
These are the reasons you push yourself and get up every day and do the damn thing!

NeuroThrive is so special because your most special and purposeful goals are at the foundation of everything we do together in your rehab program. It’s so that you can reclaim the things that are most meaningful to you.

You have to have your HEAD IN THE GAME for there to be change.

Recovery is NOT just physical- there is a huge loss that happens with stroke that needs to be grieved and coped with along your timeline of recovery.

Having your mind strong and focused on recovery is such a powerful tool to see success.

It’s so easy to be strong and motivated during the first couple weeks we work together and you may think “I can do this alone”… any maybe you can…

But when that high of starting something new wears off and you hit a rut, it’s so important to really have a good mindset to pull yourself through that. To see the positive. To not forget the journey and accomplishments behind you. To not feel like the dreams and goals you have for yourself are unrealistic.

That’s when you turn to me 💓

NeuroThrive is more than just rehab and exercise programming for motor recovery after stroke. It helps you shift your thinking and view your recovery and life in a totally different way 💓

Your mind is so strong, and so are you! Having good habits and thoughts of yourself and your accomplishments is the foundation of success.

Perks of a virtual rehab coach? I’m in your house with you virtually!! Show me your problem areas and we tackle it!

I love having my clients show me either live on telehealth video or have them send me a video of them navigating the problem area in the home.

We talk through what needs to be done now to help ease any current burdens the inability to access the part of your home and then what we can do in your program to improve your ability to perform the task needed and accomplish your goals!
