Our friend Joe Herman of ladder 111 passed early this week . He leaves behind his 2 year old daughter Lacey. The FDNY Bravest football club is helping to organize a trust to make sure she is cared for. The Venmo Bravest73 is set up to receive donations . Refuah PT will be giving away (for free) a foam roller to any individual who donates ( even 1 dollar) to this cause . Just show us you donated and stop by to pick up your roller . Thank you

Today marks the end of an era, as Diane, one of our beloved physical therapists, begins a new chapter of her career.

It’s hard to find the words to say goodbye to someone who has meant so much to our clinic. Since the early days of Refuah, Diane has been the heart and soul of our practice. Her spirit and laughter brightened our days. Her expertise brought transformation to the lives of patients and staff alike. And her compassion has set the standard for what makes a clinic like ours special.

In the new year, Diane sets off on a new journey. And while our hearts are filled with a bittersweet feeling of pride and sadness, we know that her next chapter will be just as defining and impactful as her time with us has been over the past several years.

Diane, thank you for building something special with us. And for reminding us that physical therapy is just as much about making real connections with care, compassion, and commitment as it is about helping patients through their recovery journey.

Want to alleviate the discomfort, tightness, or pain in your cervical (neck) region? Try this stretch a few times daily.

For recovering patients, this movement can help ease the pain stemming from neck and shoulder issues.

STARTING POSITION:
Start by standing straight and extending your left arm up and over to the right side of your head.

MOTION:
Using your left hand, guide your head to bend gently toward your left shoulder. You should feel a slight, gentle pull on the right side of your neck. Hold for 30 seconds. Switch sides and repeat the stretch from the starting position, this time with your right hand. Complete 3 total sets.
