🎉 Today was such a special day! We were graced by a visit from the Cheerful Givers, a group of local women who deliver kindness and do good things in the community – and have done so for many years.

🍛 They generously provided our participants and staff with a barbecue lunch, and they came bearing gifts for all of our participants. In addition, they donated a beautiful electric grill for our kitchen and brought a huge contribution of products to support our paper supplies drive. 💙

🎅 And they did all of this on a day when Santa Claus himself was spending time in our day center. It was definitely memorable on a number of fronts, and we're exceedingly grateful!

🎶 Our participants were making Christmas cards this afternoon, and the spirit of the holiday inspired them to begin spontaneously singing Christmas carols. Everyone is incredibly excited about Christmas coming soon, and clearly, their joy couldn't be contained! 🎉 (See the comments for two more quick snippets!)

🛍️ We've had the great good fortune of accepting donations of needed materials for our participants in recent weeks! These women from the Medicaid division of Iredell County Government Department of Social Services dropped by recently with a generous array of items – kitchen supplies, snacks, throws, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, and much more! 📦

We're so grateful to have these added resources to help our clients and families, and we're incredibly appreciative of the help from our local community! 💖

🎙 AJ Kerley, a marketing and enrollment coordinator with Carolina SeniorCare - Lexington, NC (one of our local partners), is sharing the news of PACE services and all-inclusive care throughout Iredell County. On Monday, November 10, at 9 am, she'll be a guest on WAME Radio - Real Country 92.9 with the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce, talking about opportunities for local residents and families to tap into PACE programs. Since Tuesday, November 11, is Veterans Day, we've opted to cancel the upcoming session of our caregivers support group. 🪖🗽

Don't worry, though: We'll be back to our regular schedule in December, so make plans to join us at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, December 9. We'll be sharing great practical information for caregivers and have an open conversation about challenges and satisfactions in the work we do! 🫶

🎶 We were excited to have a special Halloween group from Fourth Creek Musik join us at the day center today! The Kindermusik group features children and moms making music together and embraces our participants as well. 🎹

💞 It's such a joy for our folks to have the youngsters onsite and to interact with them as they play and enjoy music. Fourth Creek Musik joins us regularly, and we're grateful to Miss Gina, the owner, for thinking of us and to Kelley Brooke Photography for capturing the sweet moments! 📸
