✨ BACK TO SCHOOL ✏️🚌 ✨

This is right around the corner and we know this can be a stressful time financially for some, let us help take this burden off your hands and provide you with some help.

We are looking for 4-5 kids whose family are financially struggling and need assistance with providing school supplies for the year.

As being a single mom many years ago I know how stressful it can be, please let us help you and don’t be too embarrassed to ask for help when needed. Inbox us the age of the kids ( theme or things they are interested in as far as designs ) , and the school list provided and we will shop for them!

Hillside’s administration department was invited to attend the A.F. Wendling’s food show and conference in beautiful West Va this morning, we had the best time trying new items and dishes that we can order and bring back to share with our residents!

This was only about half of the pictures of the amazing dishes we tried, and let me tell you everything we ate was delicious we left the show so full! 🌮🍕🍗🥓🧆

It is with heavy hearts that all staff and residents mourn the loss of a great resident today, Mary Miller. She was our oldest resident and Mrs. Miller was the first female officer in Staunton, Va., in 1970. She loved watching her older TV shows, Cokes, cheese puffs, and sweets. Her favorite color was lavender. She had a special niece, Candi, whom she always talked about and wanted to see. She loved all the staff at Hillside. RIP, Mrs. Miller, you will be missed.

This morning we had our list worked up ready to go out of pocket to make sure our residents had Christmas gifts starting with 48 residents- I’m happy to say our list just got cleared with the last 19- we are overwhelmed with the amount of help everyone has provided to make sure our residents have a great Christmas, some of these residents have nobody but the stuff who loves and cares for them so it truly warms our heart there is so many people who stepped up to help us. The look on their face Christmas morning will be priceless and we couldn’t have done it without your help. God sure is good and we give him all the glory for helping us. We are blessed and appreciate it more than anyone will know.

Huge shout out to Tyler Maddox for helping us get the word out there and making this a such success we couldn’t have done it without you!

✨Santa baby hillside is ready for Christmas ✨🎄🎅🏼

Our residents sure do love when we go all out for holidays and that’s exactly what we do! Its the most magical time of the year!

If anyone wants to donate gifts , money , or pick up a resident for a secret Santa please reach out to Lindsay Lowe or Taylor Shover we usually have churches piled in with gifts for our residents but we haven’t this year. Most of these residents have nobody and while we will get them gifts we would appreciate any help we can get.

Big and great improvements at hillside!

Two old rooms completely gutted - new drywall hung - new floors - fresh paint and turned into our new med office and new assistant office- look at that pink color pop 😍

Dining room bottom base gutted and replaced with shiplap and a new two toned paint job!

Last but not least for our projects at the moment is an outside canopy for the residents to enjoy and keep them out the rain and cool in the summer!

Huge shoutout to my son in law at AllWall Drywall for getting this all done for me! We will have more improvements in the future but these have made our “home” look just that much better! Reach out to Kolby Shover if you need any improvements done, he will take great care of your needs!
