Central Shenandoah EMS Foundation

The Central Shenandoah Regional Office of EMS serves to assess, identify, coordinate, plan and implement an efficient and effective regional EMS system.

The CSEMS Foundation is an integral part of the Valley’s EMS system, cultivating and supporting our region’s EMS providers and agencies as they deliver excellent emergency care to all people in need. CSEMS is one of three Regional Offices of the Virginia Department of Health, Office of EMS, alongside Blue Ridge and Rappahannock Regions. CSEMS offers Critical Incident Provider Support for individuals or groups struggling with difficult incidents. This service is available via a 24/7 by calling 540-324-5083.

🚨 New CSEMS Protocol Course Modules Available 🚨
New education modules have been added covering:
• Acetaminophen (Tylenol®)
• Anxiety Protocol
• Cardiac Algorithms Update
• Ceftriaxone (Rocephin®)
• Hydroxocobalamin (Cyanide Kit)
• Hypertension in Pregnancy (Update)
• Post-Fire Exposure Decontamination
⏱ Providers are encouraged to complete these modules within 2 weeks.
📅 Protocol changes go live January 1, 2026.
Modules are not currently in Google Classroom and can be accessed via email links and interim guides. More details are available on our website, https://csems.org/news.html.
