My poor patient has gotten decay under his crown. We’re hoping to save it, but I don’t have warm, fuzzy feelings. Something that we recommend is the use of Carifree anti-cavity rinse. It can be purchased on Amazon or the website. I have no financial stake in this company, but have seen very good results and reduced cavities from people using it faithfully.

This is how a crown was cemented in this 90 year old patient’s mouth. His chief complaint when he came to me was that there was a sharp edge irritating his tongue on a crown recently done. I showed him this photo and sent it to the insurance company to see if they will pay for a new crown. The point is, as doctors, we should be having higher standards. People work hard for their money and we, as doctors, should be practicing at the high standards a patient expects or doing it over. Definitely not dismissing a patient for something so obviously wrong.
