Congratulations to our Independent Living Associate of the Month for February, Chris! Chris will celebrate his nine year anniversary with Waltonwood in August as our Pastry Chef. Chris was nominated because the residents recognized the desserts have been great and felt he deserved some accolades. Chris loves working with the Culinary Team and creating elevated foods and desserts for the residents to enjoy. Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors with his family. Thank you Chris!

It was a very creative and colorful day in Independent Living! Our multitalented Pastry Chef Nicky hosted another delightful painting class, this one centered on classic Valentine’s Day candy hearts. 🩷

Residents also celebrated Mardi Gras with a fun interpretation of King Cake as a delicious mini bite-size version as part of our Tasty Tuesdays baking class. 💜💛💚

🐾💛 Paws, Awes & Claws Visit! 💛🐾

Yesterday was filled with wagging tails and happy hearts as Paws, Awes & Claws stopped by with Girl Scout Troop #77022 to spread some extra cheer! 🐶✨

They brought along a few adorable puppies who were more than ready to soak up all the love and attention. Our residents enjoyed plenty of smiles, cuddles, and sweet puppy kisses — it truly brightened everyone’s day!

A big thank you to Paws, Awes & Claws and Girl Scout Troop #77022 for sharing your time and these precious pups with us. 💕
