Dear friends and clients, I am so grateful to work with you. I have started a major health journey, and I will need to take the rest of 2023 off from midwifery work. I hope/anticipate to start taking clients due in March of 2024. I will send updates.

*If you are already in care with me, we have started a plan for your care.*

If you want to help, please consider making a contribution to your preferred cancer foundation, or a midwifery nonprofit.

For the past year and a half we have been working to change the outdated and dangerous law in VA that restricts Licensed Midwives from carrying and administering standard medication.

Part of our campaign to change the law is to share real stories with legislators involving VA families that have suffered due to the barriers this law has created. These stories could highlight financial barriers, safety issues, or general unnecessary hoops you have had to jump through in order to have a safe pregnancy, birth, and newborn.

The medications we are seeking include, but are not limited to, Rhogam, Oxygen, Pitocin, misoprostol, lidocaine, Vit K, erythromycin, and IV fluids/antibiotics.

Please consider sharing your story so we can make birth safer for all Virginia families AND Licensed Midwives. We can be reached at virginiamidwives@gmail.com

Whether we like it or not, TV plays a major role in how our society views things like breastfeeding. Medical TV shows supporting breastfeeding, children's shows showing breastfeeding on a regular basis, news channels supporting breastfeeding and sharing the benefits can go a long way to normalize and improve breastfeeding rates. One of the goals of World Breastfeeding Week is to get actresses and actors on board with supporting breastfeedin. Nursing and pumping in front of children normalizes it for future generations. Improving breastfeeding rates is critical for the health of future generations.

Love that most of the water activities in the are complimentary for their guests! 🥰 There was never a dull moment for anyone in the fam!
