Yesterday, SJC HCS Director, Genevieve Valentine was an invited panelist at the Joint Oversight Hearing between the Assembly Health Committee and the Select Committee on Native American Affairs. The State was specifically interested in how County of San Joaquin, CA integrated mobile crisis services into the 988 line. Thank you Assemblymember Mia Bonta for this invitation.

Director Valentine was joined by Michelle Garibaldi, BHS Chief Mental Health Clinician, who oversees the County’s BHS Mobile Crisis Program. 9:05 am - The San Joaquin County Administration Building is currently impacted by the power outage in South Stockton.

Our office is open, but services are limited due to the outage.

We will keep you posted if conditions change.

Fay has served as Interim BHS Director since April 2025 and brings more than 17 years of dedicated experience in behavioral health, with a strong background in clinical operations, program development, and children and youth services.
