Internal neurofibromatosis type 1. A young man who has had this for many years, could not find shoes to fit, could not wear shoes, also ulcerating lesions to the bottom of his foot causing pain and infection. Below amputation was offered to him.

Severe nerve pain due to the severe nerve lesions. Fast forward one year; four different procedures by removing them in four different quadrants presents pain-free, able to wear a few different types of shoes, even flip-flops !!

Medicine can be an amazing, interesting, successful journey for patients. Nothing better than seeing them smile, even his mother shed a tear. Thank you, Courtney for sending him my way , ,
