Thank you Streator Fest for an excellent Kids Korner! Our OSF Center for Health - Streator and Live Well Streator teams had fun watching the kids roll the 🎲🎲 and exercise. We loved talking with them about rethinking their drinks by cutting out the sugary beverages and enjoying infused water 💦 🍓🥝🍊🍋🍋‍🟩! We also had a blast drumming with pool noodles with Zena from the Streator Family YMCA and watching how quickly the US Foods watermelon disappered in the watermelon eating contest. 🍉 Remember always ! Wow! At today’s Drug Take Back event, we collected 65 pounds of pills and 15 pounds of creams, liquids, and inhalers plus numerous containers of sharps pictured below. Thank you Deputy Police Chief Bob Wood for assisting at the event.

If you were unable to attend today, please utilize the drug disposal box inside the lobby of the Streator Police Department. Syringes/sharps must be in a sealed container and given to a staff member.

Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.
