Greetings,
My name is Dorothea, I am a Licensed Social Worker, it is an honor and a pleasure to be of service to you.
My journey into helping others began in the Juvenile Criminal Justice field, where I learned early on the importance of compassion, accountability, and advocacy. Over time, this work led me into community-based settings supporting disenfranchised individuals facing severe mental health challenges and substance use disorders. These experiences shaped my heart for this work and strengthened my belief in the power of healing and human connection.
I have entered the counseling field with a renewed sense of purpose, perspective, and a strengthened commitment to supporting others on their journey. My education, training, and life experiences have further defined my understanding of resilience, balance, and the complex realities individuals often navigate. I approach my work with the belief that health is the foundation to overall well-being and that healing is a continuous, evolving process.
It is an honor and a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they navigate their own paths toward growth and healing. I believe there is strength in asking for help, and that reaching out is a powerful sign of self-awareness and courage. If you are at a place in your life where certain areas need extra care and attention, you do not have to navigate it alone—I am here to support you every step of the way.
