I hate to say this, but if going for walks is your only form of exercise…

You’re not doing enough. Lift. Weights.

So many of my clients tell me they walk. That’s it. Cool, walking is great for you! But it’s simply not enough to fight the aging process and keeping all of your tissues happy and healthy.

ORRRR you’re thinking things will get traumatized with the birthing process anyway, so you want to wait until you’re postpartum to start seeing a women’s health PT.

Please no 🫣. Please.

Here’s a few reasons why you should do BOTH (prenatal and postpartum) and not just POST:

I really hit peak “pelvic floor physio in the wild” today…

Everyone else at the gym: casually foam rolling, stretching, minding their business.

Me: front and center with a 2 lb dumbbell all up in my lady bits like, “Yes, this is my pelvic floor release tool, please don’t ask questions.”

Can you please invest in tennis balls? I generally give zero phucks how I look when gymming but today was a whole new level of mobility I’m not quite openly comfortable with yet 😂

Caution: vulnerability post with tears and snot. 💧👃🏻

PhysioFit wasn’t born because I had some crazy drive and desire to be a small business owner and to hustle hard. It was because a team of cheerleaders- my friends and family- encouraged me to take a leap of faith to learn, give, and achieve more than I already was. I was content with my job and lifestyle at that time both mentally, emotionally, and financially but regardless, I decided to listen to them and take that “leap” in May of 2023. To me, it was a world of the complete unknown- literally I had zero knowledge of wtf I was doing. The support from King Middleton and said cheerleaders provided me with enough belief in myself that I left that comfy place (literally- have you seen that condo in Aurora 😍) and I entered my current life of small businesshood in Ohiofornia (that’s uber western Cle for those of you who don’t know). I (maybe) had a mini mental breakdown that fall, many doubts in my skills, and many what-the-f*ck-am-I-doings, but somehow with that continued support I ended up where I am today with even MORE support, love, and belief in me that I could have never fathom existed from you AND myself.

And f*ck it feels good.

To my cheerleaders, my clients, my family, and my friends…

You’re my why. And I thank you for that.

And listen, I won’t judge you if you’ve done the above “dumb sh*t” because sometimes we just don’t know WTF we need to do to get better so our creativity flows and the next thing we know we’re lying in happy baby with a dumbbell lying on our lady bits. 🤷🏻‍♀️
